Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Hi!
I was reading through the forums and something diff said made me happen across this thought: running. Does anyone on these forums perhaps keep in shape or pass the time by running/jogging at length? I suppose I could ask some questions like
how far do you normally run? What's your farthest?
Are you training for something, have a goal, or just keeping fit?
Do you like to run?
Can you share a fun (or perhaps motivating) anecdote?
I started running with track, where they had me run everything from the 200m to the 3200m (spoiler: I'm not fast at anything). I think it's fun to collect thoughts while running. Also, exploring.
Alas, I haven't had much time as of late to actually go out and do the things, since it's been raining and I've been on business trips and the like.
p.s.: the quote:

thanks

i tried it once, i calculcated that ive ran 4 kms that day, plus 3 kms of walking
never again

did it once just for "fun" and to try it out, i guess (theres one more reason to it that i wont disclose though)

I used to participate in events whilst in high school, like track & field as well as the Terry Fox run. I occasionally engaged in running competitions and was consistently second fastest. c:
I'm relatively in shape still, despite having not been running for a year approximately. I'd like to do more in the near future hopefully, maybe participate in a marathon or something.

I don't run but I usually do around an hour or more of speed walking a day
I'm the sort of person that leaves the house as late as possible while still getting to where I need to on time, and I walk pretty much everywhere so it adds up to quite a bit.

I normally run/jog like two or three kilometers if I decide to go outside, though I take frequent breaks so I don't know if that counts.
I only really do that when my back starts to hurt. I spend a ton of time sitting on the computer, but since I have very poor posture, my back occasionally starts hurting so I go outside for a while to sorta straighten myself out.
It's... fine? I mean I don't mind running, but if I had the choice between going out for a run or not going out for a run, I tend to prefer the latter.
Running is just that- running. I don't have anything really interesting or funny to say.
How long will it take me to get banned again?
Place your bets right here.

Until i'm tired / Idk... i think i did 3 km once? TBH I hate long-distance running. However i do like doing short but very fast sprints.
Are you training for something, have a goal, or just keeping fit?
I will run either because i just feel like it or because i want to reach my destination faster.
Do you like to run?
It's refreshing sometimes when i haven't moved in a while. However i don't like it when i get way too tired, but have to keep running. (Like in gym classes during secondary school)

Hmm, well what i remember the most about "running" in particular has to be that time during winter in Norway when i was exploring an abandoned factory in my city, basically doing urban exploring. However when i tried to leave i heard some crazy old guy screaming at me to "get the **** out of here." Basically i didn't care about him at first since i was rather young and arrogant, but then i noticed that he was sitting in an snowplow vehicle (basically those huge bulky vehicles that are used during winter and can drive approximately 30-40 kmh), which he turned on and charged straight at me. So i dodged it by stepping sideways and he drove straight through where i would have been standing if i hadn't moved. Since i was quite certain that he was trying to kill me at this point, that moment when he turned around to charge me again i was well prepared. So i barely dodged him again (which i praise my fast running skills for) and ran towards my bicycle which i somehow managed to unlock and get onto using a running start in just 5 seconds. However it was just barely as he was just behind me and it literally felt like the snowplower picked me up for 0.2 seconds, but by some magic i managed to get free without falling onto the ground, and then i reached a narrow tunnel which he couldn't drive through, thus securing my escape. I never went back there again.
So i guess the motivating lesson here is to run fast or some crazy people might manage to kill/injure you using heavy machinery?

I have never tried to run for a longer time. But I prefer to walk really long ways like a half mile is ok.
Training when having mental illness is so nice. Instead of doing bad things you could just walk or run till you get the nice feeling inside you.

In High School I tried to usually jog about 5 miles every two or so days. Sadly moving out of that area and into a rather sketchy city made going out a tad more dangerous

I typically do a mix of running/walking for 4.5-5.0 miles. I run for a total of 45 minutes with short bouts of speed walking for the other 15 minutes. I walk to the gym five times a week and will spend an hour on the treadmill and then do other forms of exercise for another thirty minutes. The reason I go to the gym is to just stay "fit", I have a family history of high blood pressure and high cholesterol and when I was younger it was a problem for me personally. Now that I am active both my cholesterol and blood pressure are normal thankfully. In terms of liking running, I wouldn't say I love it or hate it. I typically feel pretty good after I go to the gym which makes me feel like all the effort I put into working out makes it worth it, but while I'm actually doing it I sometimes wonder why I subject myself to it.

5 years ago I trained for a 10k run, having the endurance from cycling. But I lacked the muscles required for running - and I had only 4 weeks time to get fit for it lul
Anyway, I got a bit of form and managed to beat the 10k in 53 minutes which is quite a good time for a "never been running before and never will after" runner.
I belong on a road bike and nothing more.

Ever expperienced a so called "Runners High? Thats the real stuff. One has to feel it. There is no way to descripe it.
But hey, when someone is too lazy to do sports its ok. That way I can appreciate my trained body even more.
