Because 0 and O are the same, and I was often read as L or 1. I was also the only letter that wasn’t 3 pixels wide, so it was changed for consistency. 
We’ll look into fixing the alignment for the next update.

The images were updated when the font was changed. Some misalignments seem to have fallen through the cracks.
