What Movies/TV shows have you recently watched/been watching?

Hey guys, here's a topic to discuss TV and movies that have been on our minds recently! Try to keep spoilers hidden whenever possible as this should be a thread people can look to for ideas on what to watch!

I just finished both Community and Brooklyn 99, which are both really funny sitcoms! I would recommend both of them to just about anybody. I also recently watched the movie Arrival and it's definitely one of my favorite movies ever, worth a watch if you like spec-fic.

I am a pretty big fan of jojo, so I read all of the parts (1-8) and then watched the OVA and am currently on stardust crusaders in the modern adaptation.

I haven't been keeping up with TV at ALL but the last show I fully caught up with is Steven Universe which is going pretty swell (I'm v excited for new episodes this Summer)

Last movie I watched was Ghost In The Shell (1995) a while ago which I'd definitely recommend, plus the soundtrack is fantastic. (I should probably look around for a subbed version or smth though bc I think there's only the one dub and it's not the best)

I watched Dr. Strange. It's okay, felt like a lot of it was rushed.

Been watching The Ranch. It's pretty good.

I went to see Deadpool 2 when it was released. It's 5/5

I legit don't even remember the last time I turned on a TV. As soon as I learned that I can watch my shows online at any order at any time without annoying 10 minute ads in between, I pretty much just stopped watching TV since it's objectively inferior. I watch movies pretty infrequently too since I just never feel like investing an hour or two just on one movie. It always feels like a large time sink.
The only shows I really watch anymore are cartoons like Steven Universe, Star vs The Forces of Evil, O.K. KO and Miraculous Ladybug.

Last movie I watched was Hot Fuzz. Before that it was Grave of the Fireflies.

I am currently watching Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion on Season 2. Before that I watched Attack on Titan.

Attack on Titan and Code Geass are incredible. Season 2 of Code Geass really hit me hard at times, and the second half of Season 1 was intense.

Attack on Titan gets you pumped and also manages to get you goosebumps, at times when the story takes an unexpected turn.

Really need to go and watch both of these. Ofc I've watched all of ATLA when I was a kid but I gotta rewatch it sometime since it's one of my favourite cartoons ever. (Also need to watch TLOK, I never finished it since it was cancelled here)

Since 3 years ago I've been watching crime TV shows, I used to find them as the only interesting series on TV. I keep watching them, as well as cooking shows. I've recently been paying attention to an amazing competition called Forged In Fire.

O my freaking god. Every episode of new season of Westworld is AMAZING. Each one is so good that it seems like a season finale. Literally 0 filler-episodes

Westworld has been my favourite tv show for a year now, have rewached season 1 3 times and season 2 is so epic I know I’ll rewach it so many times.

I also really like Bojack Horseman, it has a very special place in my heart.

I really enjoy mrRobot too, will rewach it when I’m done with Westworld season 2.

Aand then theres community I watch when I’m bored

I used to really love avatar the last airbender but I’ve watched it too many times. Maybe in a year or so I’ll be able to watch it again.

13 seasons why is just a guilty pleasure I guess, I kind of like the drama once in a while. Havent seen season 2 yet.

I was watching godless but I didn’t finish the first season because I got very busy with school, but it’s a good tv series so I’ll finish it later.

I have so much more to watch, but that’s good since I don’t have school until september so enough time.

i was up at 2 in the morning recently so i watched catch me if you can. it was good.

i watched murder on the orient express recently as well. i liked it.

as for tv shows. Legion is at the top of my favorites. The antagonist of the second season is wonderful. Monsieur Amahl Farouk, i love him.

Watched Helix just now.

Season 1 was some solid TV.

Season 2 was overexhausted writer spaghetti with plot holes and unresolved/completely abandoned storylines galore. So many actions in there were just so obviously written for the drama and had no rational in-universe explanation. Good guys became bad out of nowhere, bad guys with no power somehow maintained control far longer than they should have, so many parts of the story relied on the characters acting in totally weird and unrealistic ways (Oh no the door that's 80% highly smashable glass is locked, guess I'll just hang out here and let my child get killed) just to go along with the story.
