i'd be neat if you could just have to do only

.../viewtopic.php?pid=1234

and let Javascript work the rest of it, e.g. add this script:

<script>location.hash = "p1234";</script>

to the end of the page
please diff this doesn't take much effort and makes for a cleaner URL

As discussed in Discord, changing the hash with javascript adds it to the URL anyway, no cleanliness is achieved with this method except hidden in the markup where nobody will see it.
