EE Discord Revival

It's that time of month again.

The goal of this server is to have stable moderation and user freedom. You can change your nickname at will, use global emojis, and check out the audit log. If anyone would like more explaination, feel free to tell me!

Note: None of the staff here are final, we're still getting things set up

if someone changes their nickname to something bad, you can look in audit log and then ban them or whatever the policy is

thats not as much of an issue, would be just a pain in the **** if it occured continuously
the real issue is that if the discord server is affiliated with EE then the users should be given their EE forum or ingame nicknames to help recognize people from the community

You're not organised.

The moderation team of the EE Server (we all know) is already made by former game admins(Processor), forum mods(Towwl), and current game mods(Phinarose, Zoey), and community members N1KF and myself.

Your staff team on the other hand, is made by John(who was banned recently), rat(who once sent unrequested Garfield pornography to another member of the server), yourself(who spammed the general channel with another member's real name), and N1KF(on which indeed I have nothing to reproach).

Your server is also allowing without proper age verification access to a mature NSFW channel, which is perhaps a feature of the freedom you advertise.

To conclude, the EE Discord Revival you're proposing is, in my opinion, just an amnesty server.

generally the people who were punished in the other server were some of the first to join and the first to become staff lol

ok mate?? mature was made for adult conversation that we wanted to contain in one channel. to get in, its not so much verification as it is "are you sure you really want to enter this channel"

Processor has actively tried to break the game and used his exploit to keep the staff and all the mods out of the game.

Zoey has sparked controversy after controversy, and was removed from being an IRC, forum, and now Discord mod because of her behavior.

Towwl created the fail forums.

We can fling crap at people all day, we've all known each other for years and we've all done stupid crap during those years. Won't get us anywhere.

Might just be because it's at me, but when 1 server's most active members who also moderates decides to flame someone else for a difference in idealology with no provocation, it kinda makes me not too fond of remaining active in that server

I would like to write a formal apology for my behavior on this discord. I may have made several hasty assumptions about a) user freedom, b) the users in the server c) the moderators of the server and d) the social appropriateness of proclaiming my lusty desires via username. While the last one may have been incredibly funny to my fun-starved self (i had a pretty bad weekend), I have come to the realization that it was wrong. I shouldn't have done that, and I won't do that again.

truly, i need to work on taking raygun's advice to heart once more: just because you can, it doesn't mean you should. for some reason i keep forgetting this.
