▼What is Eurovision

The Eurovision Song Contest is the longest-running annual international TV song competition.

Each participating country submits an original song to be performed on live television and radio and then casts votes for the other countries' songs to determine the competition's winning entry. The contest has been broadcast every year for sixty-two years, since its inauguration in 1956, and is one of the longest-running television programmes. It is also one of the most watched non-sporting events in the world.

not watching eurovision much
right now in ukraine there's a contest to pick the person that will go on eurovision
it's literally on TV right now as im typing this and i can hear it in another room
my favourite country in this european song contest is australia

I never heard of this. Its surprising i haven't because that seems like it would be a really popular thing around the world since each country competes with their top favorite song.
But i tend to not like the most popular music nowadays.

Eurovision is known to have a lot of diversity: romances, folk music or hard rock can all be present in a single night.

Belgium didn't qualify despite having the objective best song :'D So I'm rooting for Israel next, Netta's song is SO fun and danceable and quirky, I love it
I'm also a fan of Bulgaria and Portugal (and Latvia but they didn't make it either). I'd love to hear more from Equinox because I feel like they could make some really good stuff outside the competition.

English, French, Spanish, Italian are languages often used by non-native speakers in songs at Eurovision.
