Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

[suggestion] [ee][/ee] and color wheel

only add if possible

basically you put your ee world (full link) inside the tag and it show simage of full minimap if u do [ee]*inserts link here*[/ee] then the image is clickable and it goes to that world

and dif add a color wheel //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/big_smile easier to pick colors for text and it then shows hex too

Dont think that would be easy... Minimaps arent actually stored, so the forums would need to implement a full world deserialiser etc. (a huge task, which also needs to be changed every update)

Makes sense, he wouldn't add it if it was impossible!

I can say with almost complete certainty that the answer is no

Although yes it would be possible, it wouldn't be worth the huge amount of effort needed to basically incorperate a bot into the forums

@Diff recall that PlayerIO can use javascript, so you could get the minimap IDs via javascript - doesn't have to be serversided.

^ That still sounds like it would be a huge amount of effort for something that takes the poster maybe 30 seconds, that would mean having a bot run every time you load a topic, which would 1. be very buggy, and 2. probably not work on all devices in the first place

The bot would only have to run when you open a page that uses the tag.
The issue is it being in someone's signature.
If it's a real issue, Diff can request an admin to make a bot to automatically fetch images.

Well yes, but it would still probably happen a fair bit, and having a website that relies on frequently connecting to a game and deserialising a world doesn't sound like it would be very reliable...

Anyway, screenshotting maps doesnt take long, just shift + v then drag and drop into a hosting thing

Re: [suggestion] [ee][/ee] and color wheel

just throwing in my two cents:

yeah the forums right now run pretty light. I mean we don't even have pictures for smileys outside of the nine or so. this would be a rather intense extension to build on the forums (in the js addition aspect).

agreeing with destroyer though; a screenshot is much better and more reliable than any system some admin would have to set up to serve images

edit: loaded for every page you dip :b
