Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Thoughts on the gtx 1050Ti

So as of yesterday I went and picked up the gtx 1050Ti from Pny, Its a factory overclocked version and has better cooling. (I plan on getting it up to like 1700- 1900 Mhz, that all depends) But I wanted to know what you guys think of this card, and if you have it how nice is it. At the moment I can't use it, I need a new power supply, but I just wanted to know how this card is to all of you. Honestly it seems awesome, and is my gate way to pc gaming. I was never a fan of console, as the impose unfair limits, so my affinity for pc can finally be fulfilled.

Also If you have any benchmark text files, feel free to post them! Footage works as well, I think knowing the performance could also help.

And you should probably post the specs for your pc too, So for now I'll post mine.

I use a Ryzen 5 1400, 8gdps of ddr4 3600Mhz ram by kingston, a r5 340, and a kingston 1Tb hard drive. That's all for now

With thanks, Ian

Bit silly to ask for thoughts after you went and bought it, isn't it?

I don't think you understand the point of the post, I'm asking what everyone thinks about it. Like if they used it, their experience with it, etc...

Wait really? First, "gdps", but 3600 is surprising given the budgeting in the rest of your build. 2666 is ~£30 cheaper, with probably no noticeable difference in-game.

2ndly, it's 2018. If your OS isn't booting from an SSD then your life isn't worth living.

Parts List

Recently built this. I'd say the 1050 Ti is pretty good for a budget build, if you can get it for a reasonable price that is. I would really recommend an SSD for your system if you can get one.

Here's a benchmark of my PC with an overclock of 3.5 GHz: https://www.passmark.com/baselines/V9/d … 5353300732

Your Speccy snip says it's running at 1330MHz. If that's correct, you might need to enable XMP profiles in the BIOS to get it up to speed. Ik I did.

Speccy shows the "real" clock speed of the RAM. Since it's double data rate (DDR) RAM the effective speed would be 2660 MHz (1330 x 2), essentially what is advertised.

Re: Thoughts on the gtx 1050Ti

That’s super misleading.

Speccy trying to be **** will instead just confuse a bunch of people.
