Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

First time making music.

In college, I am studying Games Development and today we began creating retro-style tunes. This is my first ever attempt at creating any form of sound effects or music:

Any feedback?

Re: First time making music.

It’s almost awesome. //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/tongue

But at the moment it’s hard to tap along to because the time signature feels inconsistent until about 30 seconds in; i.e. the number of beats in a bar changes often. For instance the first three bars are in 4/4 but the fourth is in 3/4.

Idk how much music theory you know, but you can improve the phrasing by adding a crotchet rest at the end of bar 4, so that it’s in 4/4 and so that the next phrase of the melody starts on the first beat of a new bar. This is just under 10 seconds in.

Do you have sheet music for this?

Are you implying that my unfinished 15/16 music track isn't awesome?

Pretty nice.

I think you can share it with some developer to create a game?
I think this music is good for some game.

As long as the majority of it is in 15/16, it should be fine.

But I don’t think you’ve even started it. ^^

I know absolutely no music theory aside from the simple 8 beat thing. I can barely name the names of the notes. I also don't understand sheet music too well either, let alone use it here.

To create this I simply used BeepBox (literally anyone can throw some notes and make it sound decent using that).

Here's to link to the song if you want to check it out:
