1. it's been almost 2 year (22 months) since this topic was made.
2. if you were to say what acronyms you wanted censored, instead of being cryptic like always, people could understand you

Censoring it was just a suggestion. I strongly agree that acronyms shouldn't be bannable unless used to flame or harass users.

Um...I don't? I personally prefer small rule lists, but unless we get a total rule revamp I'll stick with suggesting new rules to cover up any major gaps we have.

See how good forums handle swearwords? If you see them and you get triggered - enable word filter in settings of profile

I have the swear word filter enabled both in-game and on the forum, yet the A-word (****) suddenly became uncensored in-game when the filters were made less strict years ago. I have no choice in this, and I haven't had a choice for years.

Um...no? I addressed this already but I'll say it again: the amount of acronyms that are consistently vulgar is very limited.

Here's an example of one:

This is one of the few acronyms that always implies aggressiveness (joking or not), so I think it should be censored. Most acronyms don't have the same consistently aggressive meaning. By your logic, we should remove the entire word filter because every single combination of letters can mean something offensive. Or we should stop censoring hate speech because every combination of letters can be meant as hate speech.

If another strawman argument gets posted and wooted, I'm closing this topic.

1. you want acronyms with swears in them added to the censor
2. you dont want to list any acronyms with swears in them so that emalton/megalamb can see said list and add them

It upsets me too because the staff haven't responded to such a simple suggestion. The closest thing we have to an official response is a few unofficial-sounding responses from Zoey in the Discord channel, which is nice but not what I'm looking for.

I agree with what Master1 said earlier. KYS for example means to some kill yourself, but to others it may mean keep yourself safe. I don't think censoring them is good idea.

If you have specific ones that you think might be censored, send me a PM on Discord and I will talk to the rest of the team about it. No promises that they will be censored though.
