My second cousin-in-law served in the Ugandan Civil War as a rebel. He was on a mission to save infants from a burning hospital when the Ugandan Special Forces shot him twice in the liver. Even though his side successfully overthrew the tyrannical Uganda First party, he was never there to witness it. He would spend hours at night working on scenarios and campaigns because the rebellion wasn't just a cause; it was his life.

I was in Nairobi shooting giraffes when I discovered this atrocious "meme". A red hedgehog with fetal alcohol syndrome began imitating a Ugandan, just like my cousin-in-law. I was offended. Shocked. Disgusted. Angry. Disillusioned. Terrified. Sick. Enraged. Appalled. Indignant. Choleric. Mercurial. Phosphorylated. My cousin, who gave his life for millions of others, being mocked by a couple of badly modeled cartoon characters? This was it. This was the last straw. I sent an email to the YouTube and asked them to take this video, along with several similar ones, down. They did not reply. I could only assume that this megacorporation was also a racist.

I am utterly repulsed by this video. The seven stages of grief have returned. I have not talked to anyone in two days for fear that they might show me the way.

I have begun a hunger protest. I will not exit my room until this meme has ceased.
