Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

[Suggestion] Tagging people

[tag]Different55[/tag] should see this.

@Different55 should see this.

[tag]Tomahawk[/tag]

@Tomahawk

And then the person tagged gets some kinda notification that links them to this post.

One bot to rule them all, one bot to find them. One bot to bring them all... and with this cliché blind them.

Re: [Suggestion] Tagging people

What about using the user's respective ID instead of name? Could prevent issues with name changes.

The 'spam' warning seems to work fairly well.

This is a good idea, but maybe when you tag someone the forums internally replaces it with the ID so you don't have to type it?

May you please **** off? Only because the person is bad doesn’t mean he is bad. Only because you consider “yourself as cool”, doesn’t mean either that you’re cool. So please ^ 3 names, 3 tags. It’s you who will abuse it.

:thinking:

Whatever,  I don't want to get mentioned by you, not because "I am cool", but because you usually don't add anything to the discussion

Who said I’ll use it?

Re: [Suggestion] Tagging people

In Vanilla forums you have this mention feature. But it's a replacement of the quoting feature (you can still copy paste people's posts but nobody does that). In my opinion, mentioning is better because it takes less space. but using both features in one forum is a bit redundant. Then we would have to choose if we either quote or mention.

In Vanilla forums you also get a notification when someone mentions you like you requested. Why can't Diff just make it so you get a notification when someone quoted your post? (quote in a quote doesn't count)
