Accessories

Being able to customize your smiley with a hat, an accessory and a face would be nice.

You could even make glasses sad viking with this!

Well, those could be kept as "outfit"s I guess.

Maybe we could have a UI as part of the shop, and instead of smileys we could have accessories in the shop. And if people already own smileys, those could be deleted and replaced with their accessories. Then they could make their own, like a red ninja diver. We could even have skintones, like green from sick, or white and black for complete equality.

This actually reminds me of that one smiley creator on Scratch.
