It's good when it's used correctly, (it's meant that some discussions have happened that people wouldn't want to be seen posting in, and a few good forum games have used it) but sometimes it's not used properly...

Maybe it should only be allowed in forum games, off topic and maybe creative, because I don't think I've seen it used well anywhere else...

I don't understand what classifies under "misuse of anonymity". You might want to post something on the forums but don't want people to know it's you.
There's nothing wrong with that.
Tbh, If I had the choice of seeing an anon topic or seeing no topic at all, I would pick the former any day of the week.
