Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Re: Help

The best thing to do is probably to take it to some computer repair place, IMO its too risky to try to fix things like that yourself (as it will probably require you to take it apart completely, and possibly replace some parts)

Maybe filter keys or sticky keys are on?

Try this...

Click "Start" and select "All Programs."
Click "Accessories" and select "Ease of Access."
Click "Ease of Access Center."
Click "Make Keyboard Easier to Use."
Click "Set Up Sticky Keys." Deselect the checkbox that says "Turn on Sticky Keys When Shift is Pressed Five Times." Make sure the box that says "Turn on Sticky Keys" is not checked. Click "OK" to save your changes.
Click "Set Up Filter Keys." Uncheck the box that says "Turn on Filter Keys." Click on the checkbox next to "Turn On Filter Keys When Right Shift Is Pressed For 8 Seconds" to deselect it. Click "OK" to save your changes.
Click "OK" again to save all of the keyboard accessibility changes you have made.

Hopefully this gives some direction....

Nah problem is, that sometimes it works, but sometimes exactly those 3 buttons get impossible to use, that's not my problem. I' can't even tell if my computer is still unbrocken but ill hope to not lose it as ill then also lose you //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/wink Not a big drama though.

He uses Linux though.

Anatoly, install XKeyCaps and remap Right Ctrl to act as a new spacebar. Or whatever key you want.

Re: Help

Is it a tower or a laptop? If the latter, it could either be the keyboard itself (you can replace it without too much effort in most laptops) or the battery.

If it's a laptop, you should try removing both the battery and the power supply, and seeing whether that resolves it. If so, you should immediately dispose of the battery and replace it otherwise you run the risk of burning your house down as lithium ion batteries tend to catch fire and/or explode. I learned the hard way.

Have you found a new home yet or did you become friends with the homeless? both?
