Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Everybody Edits uses up all of my CPU

I tried to play the game, but when I clicked the "Mine" tab my computer got so laggy I could barely do anything. I tried to exit it but it got to the point where I had to press the power button. I tried it again and the same thing happened. I checked and it seems that 100% of my CPU is used up whenever it happens.

Re: Everybody Edits uses up all of my CPU

It uses only around 10-20% of one of 4 cores here on Ubuntu 17.10.

Re: Everybody Edits uses up all of my CPU

Is this the world list one or the one with all the images?

If it's the image one, just wait a minute, it's generating all the minimaps

Re: Everybody Edits uses up all of my CPU

This happened a third time. Forum pages are taking like five seconds to load so I'm just going to assume it's my Internet going slowly.

I had the list in the lobby open, not the one on the right side. On the right side of the game screen I had the friend list open.

Re: Everybody Edits uses up all of my CPU

For me it uses like 20% in the lobby and 5% in worlds. The 5% is okay but 20% goes too far..

But yeah EE is dead so I don't care. And N1KF don't say it isn't pls.

Re: Everybody Edits uses up all of my CPU

I think OP plays on a potato.

But yeah, I'm using 20-25% CPU (i7 6700HQ) and about 700MB of RAM (on MS Edge) to sit in the lobby.

I blame those moving graphics in the background.

EDIT: Checked task manager; EE starts up my GPU, whereas normal browsing and YouTube does not.

Re: Everybody Edits uses up all of my CPU

I've looked into it previously and couldn't find the exact cause, since there's no proper Flash debugger - the stack trace is entirely unhelpful. I'm unable to play due to the sheer amount of incessant CPU rape as well.
It's a very real issue and likely the worst of them all. I don't know how it's gotten to this point, you'd think that any reasonable developer would take notice if they had introduced what appears to be an infinite loop...

EDIT: I also disabled the moving animation in the background and that doesn't appear to be the primary cause of it, either.

The temptation is so strong...

I just looked up the processor this computer uses and I can confirm this is accurate.

Lobby runs at 60 fps. Make it 15. You will see the difference.
