Tbh I only am making this topic bc I just got my first tattoo and I’m excited

Do y’all have any tattoos? What of and where are they? Any symbolism behind them? Anyone opposed to tattoos?

On the back of my right hand I have 3 moles that form a triangle. 2 small ones just before the knuckles of my index and middle finger as well as a larger one roughly in the centre of the back of my hand. I have always envisioned them as 2 eyes and a nose so as such I often draw a line to complete the face. I’m strongly considering getting a single line as a tattoo to turn it into a full permanent smiley face but I’m still undecided on if I should do that as it would mean I can’t draw other facial expressions on it anymore.

My brother got an ace of spades on his arm kind of where you got your bee. He does magic tricks time from time so thats the symbolism (might get pic later)

Woah that's a bit extreme. Would you have wanted one if there wasn't potentially such a severe deterrent from doing so?

▼Also this is what I meant in my previous post. Just obviously a much neater and more well thought out tattoo instead of pen.

I'm not sure I could even find an image of something I'd want to wear permanently for the next however-many decades. Is there anything meaningful to me at my current age that I wouldn't eventually regret to some extent?

Make it your desktop wallpaper. Keep a photo in your wallet. Frame it and put it on your bedside table. All these things seem moderately significant without being "permanent".

Well growing up I tended to stray away from getting tattoos though my older brother had gotten em since he was in the 9th grade, this made me realize I wanted tattoos more then ever, so first I got my ears pierced, and now I’m planning on starting my sleeve on my left arm pretty soon. Also when I was younger tattoos were perceived as the devil because my mother is religious and thaught of them as “satanic”. So my overall view on tattoos are that they are really based on you, and your preferences, I like tattoos.

If you're below the age of about twenty-five I think it's a bad idea to make any permanent change to your body.
