Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Hell yeah.
Also just because we only have a few smileys that look dominantly feminine, doesn't mean all the other smileys have to be male. Personally, I have had the suspicion for a long time that the snowman is, in reality, a snowwoman.

male - <noprefix>man (base building block of all genders)
female - WOman
snowmale - SNOWman

I see females wearing male smileys all the time so why not.

The smilies should've been made genderless in my opinion, but it doesn't really matter.

the reason taking anything significant to native gender as ones own is considered appropriation is because the women of north america (and elsewhere in the world) were actively oppressed for the culture that men are now claiming as cool or trendy or something they identify with if you are not female is incredibly disrespectful and ignorant for you to take this label for yourself. it is gender theft, and the continuation of this gender genocide in a much more subtle way. look up residential schools, europeans purposely attempted to destroy the female gender, and now, by appropriating significant parts of female identity (such as things like long hair, lipstick, dresses, washing dishes) you are still the oppressor. Please do some research before jumping on the 'but it's just appreciation!' bandwagon, and actually think about the impact you have on other people.
Also, 'genderal appropriation' is different from appreciation in that appropriation involves things such as high heels which has a history and cultural significance, and is often exclusive to that culture. This is not dissimilar to the phenomena of cultural appropriation, indigenous culture isn't a trend, or something to make you special, neither is genderal culture. If you have trouble understanding appropriation from an outside perspective, try to think of that. Appreciation is learning about a gender, enjoying aspects of that gender, being interested in it, but never overstepping boundaries which can only be set by those who are part of the gender. I'll say that one more time:
The boundaries of genderal appropriation can only be set by those who are a part of that gender. If you don't have the chromosomes associated with a specific gender that is deemed to be exclusive you have zero say on whether taking it is appropriation or not.
You can listen to female music (I personally recommend Alicia Keys), watch certain female dances, you can enjoy these things, and still be respectful. but honestly, if you're ever in doubt, ask someone who is part of that gender, or do some research online. There is no excuse for ignorance in this day and age.
It's past my bedtime and i may not have been as eloquent as i could have been, but if this adjusts at least one person's viewpoint I'll be happy. I understand that this kind of thing can be muddled with fiery opinions from other people, including my own, but in the end it isn't worth risking the hurt that genderal appropriation can cause, especially when it comes to gender, and members of that gender, that have been harmed and purposely destroyed for the same things that people are appropriating. Having a 'strong connection' to the female gender isn't a good enough excuse.
Pm me with anything math related please

Smileys are bald (not becaues they have cancer) just to not be gender specific. So multigender
(Forum mods are probably dumb and would ban you for typing unis3x)
I am Filip and I like women.

I don’t get sense of this topic.

why bald is necessarily unigender? there are more bald men than bald women.
I don’t get sense of this topic.

I guess most of the smiles arent gender specific, apart from the ones with facial hair or makeup or whatever
Female:
Male:
(some of the newer ones dont work )
I'm pretty sure is supposed to be :3, which is gender-neutral. Also, I might be missing something obvious but why isn't gender-neutral?

@Emma333 what’s the message you’re trying to get across with your post. You used some terminology that I’m not really familiar with and I just found it generally hard to read. From what I could make out I take it your point is that the question of if it’s okay for one gender to do something associated with another gender can only be answered by the gender it would associate with? (I probably worded that REALLY badly). Is it possible you could explain what you mean by assuming I know nothing without being patronising? Because I want to understand your point but your post doesn’t really make much sense to me.

Gosha pls, you know how the community reacts to threads like this. The most obvious bait threads still start something better-off unstarted, and you've opened the box.

Yup, there it is:
europeans purposely attempted to destroy the female gender, and now, by appropriating significant parts of female identity (such as things like long hair, lipstick, dresses, washing dishes) you are still the oppressor
You're either trolling or are sunk so deep into your gender's stereotypes that you fail to see the hypocrisy of your own "feminism".
You've just said that men should continue to enforce female-only stereotypes - like dressing a certain way - so as to avoid oppression through "gender-theft" and "appropriation". Did you think that through or was it also too far past your bedtime to make a rational argument?
The whole point of feminism is to achieve equality of the sexes by not having gender-stereotypes, which are viewed as a form of oppression. By claiming that those man-made stereotypes now belong to women, and that any attempts by men to challenge them inflict oppression, you're just oppressing yourself further.
You also appear to have completely rejected the topic of gender identity with that bit about chromosomes, so I don't think you understand the difference between sex and gender either, in relation to things like gender dysphoria (transgender-ness).
~
I jumped in here to rawr because your argument's stupid, not because I'm a feminist and your opinion triggered me, but in this case the Oxford English dictionary is entirely correct in stating that opinions aren't necessarily based on fact or knowledge.
One bot to rule them all, one bot to find them. One bot to bring them all... and with this cliché blind them.

Cultural and genderal appropriation are by definition anti-equality beliefs.
Use whatever smiley you like, it's not harming anyone. These beliefs only further the divide between us and that is not what we need.
Offline
Personally, I use smileys of both genders. While I think that vague roles of how genders should interact are okay as they're rooted in biology and tradition, anything that aims to bring others down by imposing meaningless social rules (in this case, "males shouldn't play as females") is harmful.

"Only for RPG world" My **** if males are going to wear female smileys. I mean do these smileys even have a gender? They only have names or labels but no gender. So what if its called girl, that is just its given name, not gender.

By that logic, could you argue that any fictional character has no gender? "It's just their name, appearance, voice, and preferred pronouns!" If you do that, you completely ignore context the author is trying to show the viewer. Similarly, pretending no smileys have any gender ignores the context the game staff are trying to represent with their smileys.
