It should be obvious that I'm on either the blue or the orange faction though, since I'm hard-targetting red and Ab is the only purple

You're right. So then you were also right earlier about red being strongest. If Slab also moved to red, they would have 4 members.

Well, it's not kill the red and win. It's kill everyone but your team.
Everyone but red has reason to go after red, and red is showing themselves to be a particular threat to everyone with their ability to change people's teams. Once red is dead (or just their recruiting role I guess) the rest of us can continue killing each other as normal.

Also i'm trying to figure out what the catch to this game is:
if all night roles are blocked, only one kill can happen per day.
if the communicator gets killed, the backup they just hired will take their role.
so how to deal with red

Thanks for confirmation.
I picked two random people. Jkdrip because he said his favorite color was blue, emalton just for the hell of it. Total shot in the dark with emalton, and I can't believe I actually figured something out in one of these games.
Why are we throwing people into the red faction I'd they do something weird. I get they are deemed the biggest threat right now, but they're not the only faction. Red faction != mafia.

And I think you underestimate how strong your guild is. By convincing a player rather than killing, you not only make that faction go -1 member, but make your own faction go +1. That threat HAS to be destroyed before any other faction.
The only reason Slabdrill confirmed that Emalton and I are on the same team is cause he's helping red now. Makes it easier for them to pick a target.

I'd assume there is more than one faction that can recruit. Otherwise red can steam roll everyone else.
