Underwater Ruins Unofficial Contest! [Winners!]

ABOUT THE CONTEST:

This contest was planned 2 weeks ago, and since I've noticed that players were participating in many different contests I planned to make a one, everything was planned with the judges and some other people, in this contest you'll have to build a level that shows a ruined city under the water, you could have your team, the team will have the gems separated, for example: if a team that has 3 members won the 150 gems will be 50 for each, or even you could work solo if you want, just write what you want.

We won't use a points system,
We'll see our favorite worlds and put them on top 3.

PRIZES:

1st: 150 gems / 1 team
2nd: 100 gems / 1 team
3rd: 50 gems / 1 team
*NOTE: we accept donations.

TIME:

Sign ups: Starts on 13th September / Ends on 21st September
Building: Starts on 22nd September / Ends on 22nd October
Judging: Starts on 23rd October

RULES:

* You're free to use any block you want
* If there was any problem with your teammate, just pm it to me, I would accept team fixes only first week.
* Your world must be 200x200 / 400x200 / 200x400 / 100x400 / 400x50 / 636x50 Or 300x300 big.
* You must follow the theme
* Follow the sign-up guidelines or you'll be disqualified
* Submit your level on time or you'll be disqualified
* You must start and end on time
* Your world must be visible or you'll be disqualified
* You could choose any world difficulty you'd like to use
* If you want to discuss any outer thing about the contest use this here
* Coop levels aren't allowed

Napekeun - almost nothing new with the world, the first mini which contains you going under the water was a bit boring to play, other minis were not bad, your art needed some improvements.

I feel obligated to go onto a bit more detail as to what this contest is about, since i feel Oray kind of worded it weird.
We were planning this contest for some time now, passing around a bunch of ideas, trying to improve those ideas, and decided to go with an underwater ruins theme. However we want to try a new judging algorithm to make sure that both minimakers and artists have a fair chance of winning. When you sign up you also have to include what you specialize in, whether it is minigame creation, art, design or something else.. Depending on what you tell us, your world will be judged accordingly. If you say you are an artist, then we will focus more on the art than the gameplay. However, even though your minigames would be worth less, they are still not worthless. It only means we will focus more on your art.

(Also we'll waste a few hours of our life writing reviews for each individual world)

Yeah agreed, that desperately needs to be changed, we can't have art count for nearly half the points. We would handicap minigame makers quite a bit.

You can freely choose the difficulty of your world. Just don't make it stupidly difficult and unfair and it should be good.

Zoey pls. Do you think Oray would stoop so low?
In the case that he does, I'll talk with him about it, since i don't think its fair to deny or help someone just because of their relationship with the judges.
But if anything Zoey, the other 3 judges don't have a vendetta against you. So you got that.

Also, your points scoring system lists minigames as a category. Should that not be changed to gameplay? Since not every form of gameplay is minis. Meaning if you only build non-minis stuff then you get no points.

Oray, Luka and I have decided to allow partners for sign ups. I, as a judge, expect worlds to be simple and pleasing to the eyes. I'm gonna focus more on the minis and gameplay than the minimap art. Originality and creativity is what I want to see in your worlds. I prefer using some palettes that aren't used yet. These are some of my expectations for the worlds that are gonna be submitted to this contest. This contest is really basic and easy to do, so i encourage everyone to join.

Edit: You are now allowed to work on solo again.

this contest will include 2 random players to be together due their types.

Why did you make this change? This contest is basically ripping off the teamwork contest now. The only difference in this contest will be that the theme is more restrictive and there isn't going to be as much trolling (presumably).

The players asking for the option to work in teams probably had someone in mind they wanted to work with, I don't think anyone who wanted teams had the idea of getting a random partner in mind.

This new rule basically defeats one of the purposes of this contest. You allowed us to specify what type of player we are so we are judged more on the things we are good at and less and what we are not so good at right? Well, I'm more of a solo player, I don't really work well with a team. This new rule cripples me. Why can't being a team just be an option? Some people want to team up. That's okay, let them do so. But let them do so with who they choose. And let us players who don't want to team go solo. Unless this rule is changed, you can remove me from the sign ups; which is a shame since I was actually looking forward to participating in this.
