those 72 hours went by really quickly.

so gosha and proc haven't posted. anyone else I miss? The rationale for going after abelysk seems to generally be "what utility is a person who won't vote" but I want to remind everyone that this controversial crusade also applies to people who don't even post.

so the day ends in like 12 hours but I'll be sleeping for (ideally) eight of those. If nothing else, I'll add a vote for abelysk so I'm not a hypocrite: lynch d1 is better than not. I hope this isn't like a lure though. If he's trying to subtly say he's something important, for example.

In the situation you described, the protective roles (assuming there are any. No protective roles is a lot more feasible than no investigative) should be on you.

If you ask me, Joy Rider seems like a pretty bad role. The best it can do is lower a maf's priority by removing car transportation. But you're more likely to target a townie.

I know I'm defending him a bit much but I don't believe this is a role maf would claim, since it's not that useful. I'll keep on nolynch.

Also on the subject of transportation, everyone that wants to confirm they have a power role should take the bus at night. As I understand it, only PRs can do that. Just keep in mind maf will be riding too, to also confirm PRs.

Do you believe that only PRs can ride the bus? The way I see it is just that everyone has a certain set of available transports so some random people will have a bus pass and others won't, regardless of role.

I believe that certain PRs can ride the bus, as well as all maf. It depends on your role's ability. I might be wrong though. In which case ignore me.

OK well I guess there's good reason to not lynch abelysk but I'll be surprised if we get enough support for anything else at this stage of the day

defending him or not, you're not thinking about this in the right light. the question about a roleclaim isn't whether or not it's valuable. The question is if it's verifiable.

In terms of the bus, I imagine your argument can split between day and night bus travel. The night is when one can confirm PRs; a non-PR would not be traveling at night. The packet said "In most cases players will only be able to choose between a car and walking." -- so this won't be some OP resolving tool for either group.

the long and short is this: bus travel could give semi-useful information if gathered at night. Problem is, to claim its usefulness you also have to claim being a PR with a bus pass. Keep this in mind before sharing.

The reason I believe Abelysk's roleclaim makes him seem not maf is not because it can be verified. But, if I were maf, I'd choose a more important role than that to roleclaim.

That's just my train of thought though, I don't really expect anyone to follow.

I don't think bus travelling by day is gonna be useful for anyone. All it does is say "hey I took the bus." Unless I just super don't understand this whole "bus pass" thing.

Just to clarify, you don't need to be a PR to receive a bus pass. But of course if they are on the bus at night it does mean they are traveling somewhere.
