Block/mute people on the forums

Is there a way to hide/block/mute some people on the forums ?
Could this be implemented ?

I just don't want to read what they have to say.

well part of the issue I think with mutes and people deleting posts is the loss of context. When posts disappear and people didn't quote, the exact situation blurs.

that said, you could write a simple script to delete posts that contain the certain username(s) or remove posts quoted from a username

well part of the issue I think with mutes and people deleting posts is the loss of context. When posts disappear and people didn't quote, the exact situation blurs.

I wrote an ignore mod for FluxBB a few years back that I like to think solves this problem, it basically spoilerifies posts instead of just pretending they don't exist.

I agree with this post. You never know the next time you'll see naked horses in your history and mom comes in to see you hurriedly finding your way out of the forum.

And that brings me to the raids. Can people get IP banned? Also, I think there should be a Tor blocker so that people who are clearly trying to evade won't be allowed to visit.

what about vpn? many people on forums use vpns. You can't block people by IP.

My idea is that mods should approve new user's first posts and publish them only after they are approved
