Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Most browsers have bookmarks.
Most browsers also have a bookmarks bar for all your bookmarks.
Do you use bookmarks?
How about the bookmarks bar?
For the past 20 years of my life I've been against bookmark bars in all their forms, and bookmarks were basically a graveyard of things I'd get back to and never did. But I turned my bookmark bar on for reasons and I could potentially see myself using this now.

I only use bookmark bar to avoid typing in addresses, anything else just ends up being a collection of things you've already seen and will never look back at again.

In firefox at least you can also stuff buttons in there. Currently using my bookmarks bar for favorite sites, I've started a few folders for stuff I'm never going to look at (it beats having 500 tabs I'm never going to look at I guess) and settings buttons for uMatrix and another addon that I want quick access to.

lol I use the bookmark list to simply forget about cool websites.
I use the bookmark bar to hold my js-bookmarklet creations. However, I accidentally hid my bookmark bar and have been too lazy to put it back. So now my bookmark bar is also my bookmark list.
I used to add bookmarks for things I wanted to look at later, now I just pin the tab.
This, too. Except I only use my pinned calendar, the other two are poor excuses for pinned tabs (wikipedia pages)

Do you not have a list of sites you regularly go to? YouTube, EE, forums, email, school/uni stuff?
One bot to rule them all, one bot to find them. One bot to bring them all... and with this cliché blind them.

I use it when I need to work on a college assignment / project when I need to cite websites. Extremely important.
YouTube, EE, forums, email, school/uni stuff?
!yt {search} takes me to youtube
got a desktop email client
For everything else, typing one letter will auto fill the site I want to go to (usually).

I put most of my resources/references and things I'd probably use later in the bookmarks bar and I usually only have it visible on the newtab page. I guess some stuff on there is like a graveyard and some stuff I'm glad I have bookmarked just in-case I go back to it...
I even have nested folders in some folders so... yeah |:
Useful for games I quit and come back to later... happens sometimes and sometimes it never happens...

I don't do very much online so firefox's new tab page is all I ever need. I don't think I've ever used bookmarks on any home computer.

I use the new tab page for pretty much everything I use often, and bookmarks for anything I don't, but still want to go back to later, e.g. if I find something useful like a tutorial or something, but don't have time to, or can't do it until later

When I was 7 years-old I discovered bookmarks and put there anything I could find
Now I put there only useful stuff
I didn't know people don't use bookmarks lol

the problem with that thing for me is that it has not enough space plus it seemingly decides on it's own what to add here and what not?
personally ive been using bookmarks bar for all kinds of websites that i visit relatively often

I like to see little icon and name of the website instead of huge preview

I use bookmarks because I want to clear my web browsers web history every time I close it. Which would not be good if I want to see the page with visited sites.

My current list of bookmark folders include:
Music (with sub-folders for Anime, High quality rips, and VGM)
Anime (currently only contains two things)
Games (for fun web games)
Web pages (which so far only contains Cute, Funny, and Interesting Reads)
Reactions (for funny reaction images)
Sources (so I can prove that I'm right and everybody else is wrong)
Tools (mainly wiki stuff, but I have a few guides and stuff)

I made a custom homepage using preschool level HTML that makes a grid of 120x120 pictures with links to my favourite websites embedded inside.
<a href=http://link.com><img src=images/1.png></a>
Just this over and over again. Fixes every problem you'd ever have on the internet. And a css page for a custom background.
