Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

The staff haven't really asked this question which is why I have created this topic in hopes that they will see this and take into consideration what the majority of people want and listen to their (hopefully) well structured arguments for either way.
Basically, do you want Unity to be the primary / only focus until it is complete or do you think that there should be general EE updates in between now and then to keep the game interesting and fresh.
Here are some pros and cons for each side; I will also add to this list as people comment:
Pros of Unity being the only focus in development
- Unity will be developed faster.
Cons of Unity being the only focus in development
- During this time the lack of updates may become boring.
Pros of other updates being developed besides Unity
- Allows us to keep the game fresh whilst we wait for Unity.
- Is solid proof that progress is being made towards the game at least.
Cons of other updates being developed besides Unity
- It will take longer for Unity to be developed.
- Most updates only really include new blocks which isn't much.
Personally, whilst Unity should be the priority, I still think that other things should be added during the time of its development, even if this is just blocks. Additionally, the reverse / flip gravity effect is something on the horizon which I do think will be satisfactory for a while as we explore all the new possibilities that come with it whilst we wait for the release of Unity. However, I do think that a reduced amount of updates in order to speed up Unity development is a good idea but I do not think it would be practical without a substitute to keep the community entertained. My suggestion for this would be another level building competition for a new campaign to keep community members active. This competition could be judged by staff members that are not involved in the development process of the game as to not stunt any development progress.
Please comment your own opinion as hopefully more opinions means that more people are happy with the way the staff decide to go about Unity. (This is assuming they don't have the 'we're doing in X way no matter what anyone says' approach).

I'm happy with either - I just want to see regular updates progress being made.
One bot to rule them all, one bot to find them. One bot to bring them all... and with this cliché blind them.

Since 2017 started:
2 block/smiley updates
0 campaign additions
(Please correct me if I am wrong, I'm going by blog posts)
Given that, I'd be pretty comfortable with EE staff focusing entirely on Unity.

There's going to be a few action blocks coming up soon according to some leaks.

Awesome! I'm definitely in favor of updates like that.
Don't get me wrong, I'm all for the staff taking time away from UnitEE to put out productive, impactful updates. I just have an issue with time wasted on releasing a pack/smiley that people forget about after a week.

Unity pretty much = steam, as steam supports unity games
Also, im guessing that they wont add (or whatever you have to do) the steam workshop, as thats almost like supporting hacks in game
