Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

I need an official announcement of the theme, then again I might not do it now.

Who do we PM to submit all 3 levels? Is there a set template to follow for a submission?
Do we connect each level via world portals?

Do you expect the gameplay in the 3 levels to last more than 5 minutes total?

Level Creation Guidelines
- You will be building 3 medium worlds
- The maps must each have a distinct style of gameplay. Points will be taken off if you use the same style of gameplay throughout the levels.
- The theme is as follows; The first medium world will be past, the second will be present, and the third will be future.
- There is no difficulty cap. Feel free to make them as hard as you please.
- Good luck!
I have a few questions regarding these guidelines:
How strict are they? Are they more like definite rules, or am I allowed/encouraged to push the boundaries as much as I can?
Am I allowed to have a recurring theme/goal throughout the levels that may include a similar aspect of gameplay? (I'll be sure to make sure that the majority is definitely different)
Do I have to begin with the past, then present, then future, or can I start at a different point?
Does the "present" have to refer to 2017, or can it be a different time, with the "past" and "future" being relative to that other time?
I hope I haven't given too much of my idea away, or I haven't been too picky, but I have been burned in the past for pushing the rules, and I'd rather it not happen again.
Seems like a really interesting theme, as we don't often see sets of levels. I'm looking forward to working on it

At least we don't get Cindy age 14. It would start to get a bit disturbing at that point.

You can connect them if you wish. Other than that, just post your levels here, and post them in the correct order, with past being the first level linked, and future being the last level linked. Feel free to include a name for your 'world series'.

Feel free to push the boundaries as much as you want within the confines of the rules.
Yes, as long as the gameplay itself is distinct in each world.
The levels have to be in the order of past-present-future.
Up to interpretation.

One more question
Is backtracking allowed?
ie. once you get to the present level you realise you need to go back to the past for 'reasons'
As long as it doesn't take a long time to backtrack it's probably fine.

What if it takes a negative amount of time to backtrack?

I have a few questions:
1. Can we add a separate world functioning as the lobby leading to the three worlds i.e. past, present, and future?
2. How will the worlds be judged and ranked?
Hey there. Wanna know a secret? Send me "Souffezhi" through PM to find out!

You'd basically need to make something really hidden or unlikely to be cracked until later, and if it can be executed correctly, level skipping and size limitations are still a big issue. As an answer to Onjit's question, most likely not unless you can really find a correct way.

This is why I'm asking - no point trying something weird if it's against the rules.
