I think a member of staff just picks them to be featured.
It does seem like it is a bit under-used though

Very random way to choose worlds, what about the owner clear the map and then draw in it inappropriate picture, also adding inappropriate sign messages.
It could happen, just saying.

So is what destroyer123 said true? If so, what's the criteria? Why so little worlds have been placed in the featured playlist? Months ago, Kaleb's "7 Depth of Hell" world was so popular and liked that a staff posted it on EE Twitter, why not in the featured playlist also?

About how the moderators choose the worlds they like and then that worlds become featured, that mean if the owner of the world edit the map and makes inappropriate content, then it would be really shocking to see that world in the featured section.

Alright, i will take it from you guys that; whoever picks the worlds chooses a random world, and that this tool has been a bit under-used.

Well then, if there's no more comments about that, i guess its answered.... it would be nice to see a official "Featured Playlist" topic as a sticky in Level Creation or Rooms, to inform how it works if there's actually more to it.
