Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Remember the Gem Hunt trend?

I admit those were fun to play and make. They started getting tiring when it became a 12-day-long event, rather than "do it today and get Gems today" event.

For those who are unaware, Gems were converted to codes, and the codes were generally hidden behind a locked Tumblr account (Zeldaxd did this often, and I did it like this too).

The most recent hunt was by Hummerz5 from November 2016, but I really miss the creativity from Zeldaxd and others (if any) that made them (not saying Hummerz5 wasn't creative, but I missed the Tumblr-esque style).

Zoey2070 also made one I think in a similar style to Zelda's. We would go to the IRC and discuss the stuff and how to solve the stuff.

I made one quite a while ago using a riddle format. It was really fun to make. Spent some cozy late nights typing up some quirky riddles which you can find here:

http://forums.everybodyedits.com/viewtopic.php?id=29528

Most of them required knowledge of various programs. Zoey even had sound encryption and visual encryption of an image involved.

I remember the very first Gem hunt has an image that was rotated and has dots counted. The dots were then used to unlock a Tumblr within a given set of instructions.

These were fun to make and worth spending Gems on. Hope we can start that trend again!

This would be super fun to do again, but it's kinda impossible because of not being able to make gem codes anymore

ask mods to convert someone's gems into a gemcode for the hunt? our community is small enough for players to cooperate with mods/devs freely

The way I did mine was ask Lrussell to convert my Gems into a code. Back in August 2015 there wasn't the option to do it from the shop

It was removed last year, I think due to account exploits
