Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Its frustrating make graphical suggestions and not being able to show how they would look in-game by showing it in a video or so.
It would be cool to have a bot that let the graphical suggestion creators add their own pixel block created to the game.
I mean, it could be a offline version of EE, like how EEditor works but with the possibility of play the game with the graphic suggestions created.
The game experience not need to be perfect, only to test and demonstrate how looks the graphical suggestion in-game.
The idea is to let the graphic suggestion creator upload to the bot the graphics suggestions, then choose what kind of item it is, a hazard, a coin, a smiley, a portal, a block, a decorative item, if it would be in front or behind the player, if the item need multiple frames for animation; like that.
Not only the graphic creators, also the players, being able to test and experience how the graphics suggested feels like.
That bot would increase greatly the graphic suggestion test, introduction and exposition of that graphic suggestions.
If someone is capable to do that bot it would be excellent.
(I request something that works similar to EEditor: Simple to use, without the need of programming knowledge...)
This will be a bit complicated because it also need physics if you want an action block.

This would be like creating an offline EE client.

Seems like what I am asking for is really complicated.
If it is not possible to do, then it would be also great to have the possibility to let players and graphical suggestion creators test and experience with a bot where is no game-play, like EEditor, like a didactic exposition of the graphic suggestions.
A still image surely shows off the design well enough?
Thank you eleizibeth ^
I stack my signatures rather than delete them so I don't lose them

It kinda does, A gif is better, but it would be the best to let the players experiment with the graphic suggestion, that way the player and the graphic suggestion creator are able to have a thorough understanding of that graphic suggestion in a friendly and easy way to edit and interact with the items.
(Cue for Gosha to come in with another edited client)
Maybe just have one where all the textures are loaded from files, rather than being inbuilt so they can easily be edited
Not sure if this is easy (or possible) though, as I havent used flash before

Best we could probably do is either making a tutorial on how to edit the SWF of EE to add the image yourself, or make something that would decompile and recompile the SWF within one program.
The later would be quite hard.

The last could be possible, because you can save the script for the block and also load it into the SWF and save with the command line arguments that FFDEC use.
The way to replace an image with command line arguments with FFDEC doesn't exist if I remember correct.
Edit:
One more thing, when you add a new block you can't place it because the serverside code would stop it from been placed. I can make client side client that can place it client side instead of serverside.

Im not sure, but it would probably be possible to load external image files, instead of recompiling, and you could just retexture a few existing blocks with the same physics
Im guessing it is possible, because I think all of the campaign images are loaded from external files (could copy some of the code from that maybe)
This would mean you could connect to EE, and play normally, but just to everyone else, the blocks would look different

If someone makes it, please make it also avaibel on ubuntu.
I actually considered developing a basic offline version of Everybody Edits to help demonstrate how new block ideas would work ingame awhile ago. It wouldn't be to hard to create.
Or, you could just edit EE's SWF.

this has been out for a long time
does this suffice http://forums.everybodyedits.com/viewtopic.php?id=35918
it is barely anything of what you requested but it's something
