I remember hearing that there's no point making videos higher than 4K because our eyes can't perceive the difference or something. Or maybe I'm thinking of 8K, idk.

It depends how far away from the screen you are, at 50 cm to 1 meter (how far away from my monitor I usually am) the max pixel density would be about 100 - 200 ppi, which would mean 4K would be enough for my 22" monitor
If you had one of those crazy wrap around curved monitors though, 8K probably wouldnt even be enough
