Alerts as in noises or popup type things, probably not, but maybe a different coloured dot (the new posts one) for when your replied to (quoted or tagged or whatever) would be good

It couldn't be abused if there isn't a noise / popup, as long as it's just some sort of symbol / one of those taskbar colour notification things it would be fine

Hey guys let's remove posting on the forums at all since it can be abused.

"It could be abused" is the kind of stupidity that brought us W10's forced updates shoved down our throats trashing anything you had open, because allowing users to be able to choose when to update could be abused.

It doesn't matter. If someone abuses it they'll be dealt with the same way we deal with anyone who abuses any feature of the forums.

Just incase you didn't notice, he is trying to make fun of the people saying his ideas, e.g. the megafon, would be abused, when his actually would be abused, while these just could be abused (which is, as you say, OK)
