Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Other language versions of EE

I'm tired of everyone speaking in different languages (like Polish) in the original language version of EE. What we need is other languages that need to be added in EE.

Re: Other language versions of EE

Unity uses C#, javascript and python instead of actionscript, more languages are already being added //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/big_smile

On a more serious note though, if you mean completely different versions of EE, I dont think that will ever happen, as there isnt enough people still playing for even a handful of people being on any specific non-english version
If you mean just directly translating things like menus and that sort of thing, that would be quite good, but I dont think thats what you mean

Re: Other language versions of EE

It's already possible to translate most of the in-game text (plus images with text) to other languages by editing the client. Nobody's ever done that, though.

OR you could just learn the other languages and benefit yourself and others.

how would it benefit others, particularly those that do not speak these languages?

While I've considered this the thought, this would take lots of effort. A lot of the in-game text is oddly rendered as part of images, so extra care would be needed to make sure everything matches up. UnitEE's GUI revamps could be a chance to fix this, which means that translated clients would be easier to make.

When you learn a new language, you can speak to others who exclusively speak that language. Communication is easier.

If somebody wants to learn a new language, that person can choose to. If a person doesn't want to learn a language, they probably won't try to.

If the main reason for refusing a game translation is to encourage people to learn a new language, perhaps those people doesn't want to learn it in the first place.

I wasn't responding to that. I was responding to:
