Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

I'm not a big fan of those images that turn things with weird faces into suicidal jokes. People just seem to be trying to find ways to corrupt all that's innocent or silly.
Well I'd argue that the joke itself is also innocent and silly.

Silly, maybe (if that's your definition of it), but how is it innocent?

>Whines about picture about inanimate objects being turned into suicide jokes
>Picture above is literally someone threatening to shoot their kid if they don't do their homework

Because it's just a joke.

All jokes make a mockery of something. Jokes can be mean-spirited if they're not careful in what the joke teller decides to mock. I don't like jokes that take something silly and make it dark. Comedy, in my opinion, should be used on something dark to make it more positive. Perhaps it's because the type of person I am, but I don't just laugh and say "Wow look at that weird suicidal toy!" and my day is happier.
Another thing wrong with this joke is that a joke's punchline has to be unexpected. The punchline to the joke was very predictable, as I've been on the Internet enough to understand where something is going. I've seen countless examples of people taking some child-friendly thing and making it edgy and vulgar. If the original punchline were Pingohits's second version of the picture, it would be a lot funnier in my opinion, as that's not the thing you would expect to see on a meme image.

I don't think anyone would be offended by the joke, so I don't see it as mean-spirited. I think it's just your taste, I don't think there is anything morally wrong with the image.
