Yeah okay so we have two new tags:

[tw] and [trigger]

trigger is basically a flavored version of spoiler, but tw is like an inline spoiler that's basically useless since you can't put anything but text in them. Probably going to regret and remove them at some point down the line. You can click either of them and they'll pop open and reveal their contents. By default all users are triggered and have the contents of these tags hidden by default. Uncheck that box in your profile to have them displayed by default instead. On top of showing triggers, unchecking that box also disables the forum censors for you.

They look like this:

CONTENT WARNINGhomos are gay

CW: critical thoughttrump will make america great again

▼CONTENT WARNING

▼CONTENT WARNING: uncleanliness

If you uncheck the box in your profile, that'll change to look like this:

homos are gay

trump will make america great again

Swears in posts are allowed as they always have been as long as you don't evade the censors. The rules have been updated a bit to clarify that, and it's now a rule to put all images or embedded videos that contain swearing into these trigger tags. Links are fine, as I'm pretty sure they always have been.

In other news:
Anonymity is now limited to Off-Topic discussions, debates, and forum games. NoEdit and Isolation are limited to just forum games.

I think it should either be allowed on all forum games, or on all topics on the forum. The less unneeded checkboxes we have during topic creation the better.

That was on purpose, I did at it for like two seconds but decided against it because tw is a garbage tag and I've already started to regret adding it.

It's a rule you have to use the new tag. Unless you just never post images with swearing.

what exactly does the use of triggers permit in terms of rules?

I imagine inappropriate language is allowed. But what of other rules? If I warn you I'm going to flame you (via trigger warning) then am I scot-free?

Only applies to language. This update is about letting people turn off censors if they like and since we can't censor images I added a new tag.
