just felt like sharing this to tease those that rarely get to see snow irl
(i didnt find the weather topic so im posting it here)

the weather last few days in my town has been "great"
on saturday it was snowing, then raining (temperature rose to above 0C), then snowing HEAVILY, which resulted in a fine layer of liquid water on the ground (the depth varied from 2cm to 10cm) and a thick layer of snow above the water (20cm to 40cm). basically, you could step into deep snow and land your boot straight into the water underneath. also the roads were screwed over, cars often simply got stuck in the snow because the wheels didnt have enough traction and just "dug" that snow/ice and buried the car deeper into it. then the next day things got even worse. the water layer froze and turned into thick and slippery ice crust while the snow above it got melted a bit earlier with some water forming inside the snow and now it froze completely and became solid and crispy, like chips. that situation carried on until today and gradually got worse. people made these paths in the snow with their footprints over the span of these few days but part of the snow that they walked on got pressured into the icy-water crust and the whole thing resulted into a bumpy (because it had lots and lots of deep human footsteps) YET slippery af surface

I am slowly becoming insane. Been studying all day for 7 days now, 3 more to go, im tired but no time to sleep, my parents are being gross and stupid or Im becoming more and more easily irritated, i hate exams, this exam week will be the first time I have exams on english and dutch which are my worst subjects so im really scared.

in a few weeks my russian exchange student comes so thats exciting

i don't understand how people can take the entire day studying, i mean, i go to a magnet school excuse the humblebrag and there are unit tests biweekly, as well as quizzes scattered between

i usually coast until two days before the test, study for about 30 mins, and then look over it at school, trusting my short term memory works as it does

what time do you get home at school? if you have clubs, there should be 4 hours to study if you sleep at 10. if you have sports, that should be around 3 to 4 hours if you have dinner at school(?) i don't do sports don't know it it works

are these midterms?

how many subjects / exams?

as of this week, what time do you go to sleep, assuming you even do?

Normally I never work at home. It's a rule I made and it works pretty good. These exams are about the past half year though and they're very hard. So before exams I always break the rule to get good grades. These exams are really the only things with grades that really matter. We have 2 exams weeks per year in the last 3 years of high school and the average grade of these exams becomes 50% of your final grade. The other 50% is your central exam which is a national exam and includes everything of the past 3 years.
All exam weeks are about the past half year of every subject, so it's a lot to study. Especially if you don't do much trough that past year and you haven't even seen what some some chapters are about. 2 weeks before the exams we always have a week off, and I use that time as my only time to study at home. I'm fine with it because it means the rest of the year I don't have to do anything. Most exam weeks have 12 exams because that's how many subjects I have.
I do get sleep, but it's hard to fall asleep with the stress. I always try to sleep around 12 and then I get up around 9 to study. I also go out some days to get my mind off so I'm not in torture mode if you were thinking that.

Some of my friends got it worse, they forgot to ask if they can be free this week so they have to work + study. yey.
