While it may be nice to imagine that the creators of these films have an obligation to respect the originals, or produce the version of the film that you would like, the fact of the matter is that they have the rights to the film. Not you. They have the right to do whatever they want with the source material.

However, you have the right to not watch the remake. You have the right to mock the creators, or complain about the 'bad things' that they have done.

Don't like it? Don't watch it.
