Original EE world soundtracks

Idk if I should post this here or creative, but I made some small songs for EE worlds. These songs are just the way I think the worlds could sound, so please don't get mad if they don't sound right to you

All of these are short, meant to be looped. These little tunes are fun to make, so I'm probably gonna update this post with more later. So far I only have:

IMO Ruins is suits better in Crypts of Anubis.
I really liked the tunnels! maybe whenever i have some time (and by that i mean when my wifi stops acting like a slowpoke) i'll play The Tunnels while playing The Tunnels

I use an lite version of cubase as my DAW.
For The tunnels I used a free GM soundfont, not sure which one (but I can check it if you're interested). Ruins used mostly sounds from xpand 2, Frostbitten had various kontakt instruments.

They're all original songs composed by me. The program I use is Cubase Elements, but it's just a daw/sequencer. The program itself doesn't come with with many sounds/instruments, so none of the actual sounds or instruments I've used are from this program.
If any of you are interested in music making and want some software to get started, I can link some free stuff.

It would be so awesome if we could just select some custom premade songs to play in your worlds when you join. Makes the game a game a bit less boring

Sequencer programs

There are many different ways to make music, and different programs give you different possibilities. If you for example want to make 8bit/chiptune music, famitracker is a perfect program for that. However, it can't do any other type of music.
I think basic midi composing is good for beginners. These kind of midi sequencers let you compose your own tunes with soundfont sounds. Soundfonts are like instrument libraries that you can download. Midieditor and anvil studio are pretty good for this sort of stuff.
The most advanced type of programs for music making are DAWs aka Digital Audio Workstations. These are usually quite complex and have loads of features, so it'll take some time to learn to use these. DAWs usually support VST plugins, which are virtual instruments that can basically be anything from a synthesizer to an orchestral library. Only free DAW I've really liked is Mulab, but there are several out there.

IMPORTANT: Get the 32bit version of mulab, because the 64bit version cannot load 32bit VST plugins (Most plugins are 32bit)

All of these programs are hard to handle at first, it can take some time to even learn to make sound out of one! Look up tutorials on google, seriously.
Anvilstudio will use its own default soundfont when you first open it up. You can change the soundfont to access different sounding instruments. If you want to change midieditor's soundfont you need to download this and set it as the midi output in midieditor.
Mulab does come with some instruments, but you can use VST plugins with it, and there are loads of free VSTs out there. There are VSTs from playing soundfonts too!

Soundfonts
Soundsfonts are basically libraries of instruments. When you load up a soundfont to a midi sequencer, you can use instruments that are in that soundfont. Soundfonts can have from one to hundreds of instruments, but basic midi sequencers usually use General Midi soundfonts, which include 128 basic sounds (Pianos, guitars, basses, drums, orchestral instruments...)

There are two common soundfont file types: sf2 and sfz. General Midi soundfonts are usually sf2 files.
To use soundfonts in a DAW you most likely have to use a VST that can load those. Sometimes daws can load up soundfonts without such VST, but Mulab can't

VSTs
VSTs are basically virtual instruments. VSTs are much more flexible and can have much much higher sound quality. The internet is full of VSTs, here are some good free ones:

IMPORTANT: Make sure to install the 32bit versions, because 64bit versions will not work in the 32bit mulab! When downloading or installing one, it'll either ask you which versions you want, or the VST will be 32bit by default.

P.S. I really think a midi sequencer (midieditor, anvil studio...) is all you need to get started. DAWs have so much stuff for you to learn, that figuring out how things work can take more time than actually doing music.

Also added a short song for Tree Decorating. I made it using this free stuff I linked. I used the mulab DAW, but it's a new program for me so I couldn't use it that well. You can make songs sound much much better if you know your program well

They definitely need to add these in those worlds that are in campaigns because it would sound great as backround music for the designated levels.
