Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

less moderation

this forum is small, and it gets smaller by the day. less than probably 20 people are active. we dont need this much moderation. so many people are getting warned for minor things. this isnt really a kids forum anymore, yet the mods still treat it like it is. i think the forums should be moderated more like the irc, where you can say anything you want with 0 **** being given (also get rid of gregbots moderation kthx). spam is really the only thing that gets you banned there. i think the following things should be warned for and nothing else

spam

illegal content

gore outside of a spoiler (hey man, sometimes people might want to post gore. if it's in a spoiler what's the harm?)

and probably some other things i forgot. if you give suggestions to what else ill add. kthx. woot if you support. though honestly i feel like the crazy person of this forums that just says **** that never happens. idk. there will probably be no woots. eh.

EDITS:
added things:

personal info (thx evilbunny)

flaming outside of a topic in which said flaming takes place (if you dont like someone flaming you, then dont look at the topic. if they flame you in every topic you post in and/or bring up the stuff you were flamed for in another topic, that is spam)

Re: less moderation

I agree with this post, I got warned for posting "I AGREE WITH THIS POST" in a small rooms thread. Hummerz told me just to woot the post, but why does it matter? That post isn't harming anyone.

exactly my mindset. if it doesnt matter, it can be ignored. no need to punish people for saying something meaningless unless it somehow turns it spam

Re: less moderation

how about go make your own forums, any responsible adult would not condone explicit imagery like gore in a forum targetted towards a pg-13 game, regardless of it being in a spoiler.
the moderation on these forums have had and continues to have faults however a lack of moderation is not a sensible option and it's mind-numbingly insipid, the everybody edits forums were even stricter when ee was popular, so don't bother with the idiotic argument that it had decreased it.

the gore part is debatable, but i still stand by it. im not saying that the moderation killed the forums then or now, it is just an annoyance to be warned for petty ****. the forums were different when ee was popular, with a much more widespread userbase. now that it is smaller, this strict of a moderation isnt needed

Re: less moderation

direct insults shouldn't be taken as lightly as indirect generalised ones. there's a pretty clear difference between saying "retards believe in the flat earth theory" and "someperson is retarded" which is exactly how it went, the latter having no nuance even

i never talked about that but under the current rules i think you should be warned. under the rules i propose you shouldnt be warned for either. unless the things i said in the op happens

also in the topic there is this

XxAtillaxX wrote:

because I don't give a **** about their calendars and they're retarded for celebrating new years when a year hasn't even passed

where you specifically do call a group of people retarded

never directly called anyone specifically a retard, i said people are retarded for doing x
in many instances people have not been warned for generalising it isn't flaming if there is no victim and it's far from hatespeech

Excuse me there have been 116 registered users who have visited the forums in the past 24 hours. Expand that to a week and we get 216 users, nearly a tenth of all registered users.

Here's some stats that objectively prove that the forums are active and bimps is just jealous of all my active users:

216 users have visited the forums in the past week.
116 of those have visited in the past 24 hours.
138 in the past 48.

A little over 927 posts have been made in the past week, split up across 105 users. Meaning over half of our active users enjoy lurking a lot.

Of those 105 users, 5 of them posted only in forum games.

list of users who have made posts in the past week.

Summary:

105 users who posted at all

46 with 7+
37 with 8+
34 with 10+
13 with 20+

Compare this to the numbers excluding the posts in forum games:

You were there while I was grabbing all those stats and you asked for most of them. You know how long it took. All I would have done on my own is the first three lines of how many users have visited.

We can never have too much moderation! https://wiki.everybodyedits.com/images/c/c0/069_LOL

I think it would make sense if the only rule were to keep this forum a friendly, fun, and PG-13 forum. All warnings and bans would be based on whether or not the user harms that goal, which I think works better than making a list of like over twenty-million rules. You may wonder why me of all people would suggest such a rule, since I have a bad reputation for being a neat freak over rules. It's because when you make a rule rather than a guideline, you're making a literal and specific command in contrast to a general guideline that can be applied nearly universally. With simple guidelines, the forum would be moderated more like a community than a government.
