suggestion: when replacing a sign with a message that is different from the previous, don't change the sign color, but only the message itself

What if I had text on a red sign and others on a blue sign, then the blue sign's text was accidentally put on a red sign, then I would type something different and click the sign to change it back to blue. This would take longer with your suggestion :/.

This is rarer than pingohits' example, so we shouldn't prioritise it.

I think this is a bad idea. Unless you made signs awkwardly a 16×16 square, you would have to deal with either a black background behind it, or /bgcolor whether or not it looks good. Plus, no backgrounds have had any sort of effect on the player. I think they would be better as decorations.

Or just make signs not morphable. So you see 3 (or 4) different signs in your block tab.
I really hate morphable blocks. They're really annoying :/
