Unable To change Edit Key

For some reason I am unable to change the edit key, it keeps on resetting no matter what I do to change it.
The other options function normally however such as the description, this is becoming an Issue because My Friends cannot help me in my worlds when I am away.

Any help is appreciated!

when you set the edit key, it's set. however, you can't view the edit key after setting it.
