Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Re: Skype vs Teamspeak vs Discord

I've never used teamspeak.

I see Skype and discord as different things. Skype is geared more towards video calling, where discord is meant for mostly voice chat.

I'd definitely wouldn't mind if the IRC channel moved over to discord.

Re: Skype vs Teamspeak vs Discord

Skype is cool but it has ads and stuff and it's slow so that makes it kinda crap. Discord is okay, but it's different to skype. Feels more like irc with voice chat. I've never used Teamspeak. Curse is pretty good for gaming.

Re: Skype vs Teamspeak vs Discord

Teamspeak isn't free and is only voice - so I have no use in that.

Discord does text and voice better than Skype.

Skype is the only that does video calls.

I like Discord.

Re: Skype vs Teamspeak vs Discord

Like other peoples have said. Skype have video and voice chatting.
Teamspeak did I use so many years ago. When it was free.
Mumble did I use a lot when it come out. And it was possible to host our own servers. Now it looks bad and you need to use their own servers.
Discord. Have never tried the voice function. So I don't know if it's good or not.

Re: Skype vs Teamspeak vs Discord

Riot is a better skype, Mumble is a better Teamspeak, Discord is proprietary trashware.

How do you mean? You're still perfectly capable of hosting your own server. Mumble's server is called Murmur instead of Mumble but it still exists.

Re: Skype vs Teamspeak vs Discord

Skype is for clueless 11-year-olds with laggy connections that don't know better :^)

Teamspeak is slightly better but Discord >>

But Curse has a cool overlay when you're playing games that lets you mute people/manage their volumes as well as change certain settings.

Agreed.

IRC doesn't like my internet connection, whereas discord is fine.

Re: Skype vs Teamspeak vs Discord

with regard to chat
teamspeak ive never used
skype is laggy and deletes logs
discord is rly good bc easy to upload/post images
u can also have it as both an application thingy or run it thru browser as a tab
also it doesnt delete logs and for a single group u can have multiple channels which makes it easier to organize

idk

You've got a choice between:
Everybody Talks (IRC chat room)
Everybody Edits
