that's funny because

to me celsius makes much more sense because:
the 0 degrees celsius is the freeze point of water and the 100 degrees of celsius is the boiling point of water
also celsius is much easier to convert to kelvin which is used in the international system for physical calculations

The perks of living on an island the weather is usually pretty predictable, if it's cloudy it will be this temperature which will be x degrees colder than clear sky in the day and x degrees warmer at night.
