Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Re: Help with PlayerIO

You need to add the .NET DLL as a reference on the project.

On MonoDevelop, you can add it by pressing Project - Edit References, then go to the .NET Assembly tab, browse for your DLL, and add it.

Re: Help with PlayerIO

Are you sure you're creating a Console Application. The only case I know where you can't edit references on the project is the Shared Project. Can I get a screenshot of the entire program?

You did not show anything. I need to see the Project menu.

Re: Help with PlayerIO

I don't really know what's going on. The issue here is more of that you can't modify the project settings. Re-open MD and check if the option is available. Maybe these settings can't be changed during first-time creation (which I doubt because adding references is the first thing I do when I create a project)

Re: Help with PlayerIO

Personally, Windows only software is cancer. Unless Visual Studio becomes cross-platform everyone should be using MonoDevelop.

Go continue to cry in a corner. I'm all for cross-platform however MonoDevelop is simply terrible, and not an option to those who have jobs.

Re: Help with PlayerIO

Cross platform does certainly give perks but... Making it cross platform doesn't make it good.
Take Java as an example (my first language actually), and look at this picture:
<snip>

From all the IDE's I've used and heard of, Visual studio is by far the best, considering both paid and free IDE's. And Visual studio is free! (obviously some stuff are paid-only, but trust me, you won't use those stuff for personal projects).

Anyways, gonna stop now cus I feel like this discussion can go very out of control.
