The limitation is not how large the world is (I've owned a 50x20000 world) - it's the size of the object in the database.
If a world is larger than 500kb it will not save. It is entirely dependent upon how many blocks you have within the world.

If you want to try this yourself and have a little bit of programming skill, you could create a bot that fills a world with signs, with the maximum length (140 characters if I recall correctly) and each one having unique text inside.

yes it can be possible but the servers not very good anymore after the upodate
