I like the idea of both sounds, could have the blue coin have the old sound and the gold with the new.

I like the old sound more. I sometimes used to go to 'magic farms' just to enjoy the sound of coins. The old sound is much more happy.

My suggesting is to keep old sound for gold coin and use halloween sound for blue coins

For me the Halloween sound is too gentle and low in pitch. If I hit a gold coin, I wanna know about it in the next room.

Plus there's the mario nostalgia.

I just don't feel like I'm collecting a coin when I hear the halloween sound. The old one is nice because it resembles the clink of a coin.
