When you make a topic on the forums, and you know it's slightly bad.
Then later you get a response you're about to click it.
And your mouse is just hovering there, and you don't want to click it.
Then you say peace to whatever dark place you're in on these forums and go to another topic.

I feel like a handful of the responses we have insofar are looking at this as simple apprehension.
Your example ties slightly deeper for me into that worry that someone will look at your idea and go "wow this sucks." That actually sometimes has me deleting my posts infrequently.

I've mostly been playing it safe for a while but occasionally I will have those posts that I doubt. I think it applies more to other places, especially wikis, where whatever you type is directly influencing the quality of what viewers are reading. (I know I shouldn't feel that way, since wikis encourage other users to improve, and I'm probably doing a much better job compared to some others.)
