Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Anonymous woots

Woots in an anonymous thread should also be anonymous.

People generally woot to agree with a post, and they may want to show support without their real name being visible, especially if the thread discusses sensitive topics or contains controversial opinions.

Re: Anonymous woots

now it won't be fun to make woots the same as the person who wooted them, as it destroys the purpose of anonymous woots

what if we had a woot counter?

Re: Anonymous woots

Having a bunch of random usernames below a post isn't going to provide any meaningful info except the number of people wooting. So I agree with Pingohits' idea of woot counters

Re: Anonymous woots

Woot counter would be easier to do from a technical standpoint and since I'm feeling pretty tired and worn out that's probably the option I'd vote for.

Re: Anonymous woots

What people say as an anonymous user can rest assured if other people publicly support what you say, woots are proof (should be unable to remove a woot after x hours)

Re: Anonymous woots

The advantage anonymous woots have over a woot counter is that after sleeping more, a certain mod could make them match the anon names of posters in the thread - i.e. if I made a post and was assigned an anonymous name, that same name would be used for any woots I gave other posts in the thread. This way you can better understand the opinions of individual posters, if they woot others.

Yah, it's hard to code what to do if I wooted something and then wrote my first post in that thread. Ideally the code would check if I had wooted any of the other posts, and use that woot name for my post; that name would be randomly generated when I wooted for the first time in the thread.
