Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

top down adventure games, preferably simple/pixel graphics, crapton of items, surreal, contains some sort of shooting aspect

Hyper Light Drifter
Nuclear Throne
Crawl
Transistor
Relic Hunters Zero
flat design story games are cool too (This is the Police, Kentucky Route Zero)
and these kind of games:

I like a lot of different types of games. Lately, I've gotten a lot of fun out of League of Legends because of all the different things you have to learn to be good at it. I also really like Rocket League. But my favourite game ever is Half Life 2, because I generally like the FPS genre, it has great storytelling while leaving you fully immersed in your character (no cutscenes, camera stays in first person the whole time), and finally it has beautiful level design. And then there's co-op games like Left 4 Dead 2 which are just fun as heck to play. To be honest, I think I have the most fun with games when I'm playing with friends.
Yeah so it's actually really difficult to decide a favourite genre. The games I like the most aren't my favourites because of their respective genres, but because of other reasons like fun factor or storytelling. Basically I like almost all genres, but right now I'd probably say my favourite is MOBA.

third person adventure
Maverick: Started up on a 6, when he pulled from the clouds, and then I moved in above him.
Charlie: Well, if you were directly above him, how could you see him?
Maverick: Because I was inverted.

Simulation-like sandbox like Spore or whatever

If you like games like that, you should check out Enter the Gungeon
But yeah, I like rougelike, fps, sandbox, survival (things like minecraft, starbound, or dont starve), and music games (idk if thats a genre or not but I put it there)

Favorites? idk
Any multiplayer game in general
Stealth is Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid only
Sport games are fun (I keep procastinating in Rocket League), but there are games like FIFA where even if you have fun you just want to throw your TV out of the window because of so much anger and frustation after a match or two
RPGs of any type = <3, from Payday 2 to Final Fantasy XII (<33333)
I also like retro stuff too (especially retro graphics), like Cave Story or Risk of Rain

I like adventure games.
I like platform games based on 100 % completion (First three Crash Bandicoot games, first three Spyro games, first three Ratchet and Clank games, first Ty the Tasmanian Tiger, Megaman Legends 1 and 2).
I like some TBRPGs like FF8, FF9, FF10, and cool unique combat games like FF12 (it's almost like you can program your characters to do stuff).
I love story-rich games like FFTactics.
I like floaty ARPGs like Kingdom Hearts.
I love art-based action-adventures like the very first Tomb Raider, Tomb Raider II, and Tomb Raider IV (didn't like the design of III).
If you loove finding secrets, play those old TR games. The first and second have super dated graphics but are really nice to play (they're iconic!)
Tomb Raider IV (The Last Revelation) has much better graphics especially on PC. Did I mention they're loaded with secret spots and PUZZLES??? They're delicious.
I also love dungeon-crawler exploration puzzle games (Legend of Zelda franchise, Okami, Megaman Legends series sort of comes here too, but it has easier puzzles and is based more on gameplay).
Anyway feel free to check those out ^
