Chest Quest Item Suggestions

SALUTATIONS, FORUMERS

As some of you may know, I have been working on Chest Quest for the past couple of weeks. Everything has been redone, refixed, debugged, gangbanged, and cleaned. Many suggestions from the players were added.

However, there aren't enough items! There are currently 286 items that can be used and equipped. Í͎ͮ̈̈̑̈́̽ ͧR̗̖̠̩ͯͅE͕͖̥̬ͤͅQ̞̹̬ͪͥ̓Ṵ̯͚͖̈́͆͋̆̿͊I̮̘͙͕͚̔̃ͮͩ̽ͅR͖̖͇͈ͦ͂E̙̣ ̘̻̗̣̰͉ͨ̽̋͗͊M̟͇̥͖̺̙̼̓̽̑͐̌̆Ȍ̳̯̖ͭR͙̄ͥ̐̑̐̂È̘̽͒ͥ.̾ͅͅ

Nevertheless, I need players to submit item ideas! They can simply be in text form, or you can go all out and make your own!

I hope you read or maybe skimmed the above portion. It's a necessity if you want to suggest items.

FINAL NOTES: Suggested items should follow the respective themes in the spoilers (those 3 images).

But, don't use those as a template and simply recolor them. Be creative and make your own.

I'm actually interested into helping, but can we have a (partial) list of items to refer to, so we don't end up with duplicates of existing ones or unbalanced items (you may end up with more high-level stuff than needed with not enough lower level stuff).

About the images: Should we submit 5x5 images or 42x42 ones with borders?

Are unique (but not too powerful) properties encouraged or discouraged? Example: an activable ability on a ring that drains 1hp to give 1 or 2defense for the next turn/several turns/the whole fight

consumables: (they have drawbacks because it's dumb to not have them //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/tongue)
no art bc im too lazy to open ms paint
potions of various colors: cure X status effect
this is supposed to be a "berserk" effect: high boost to attack (maybe only up to your next attack) for a loss of all DEF for 3 turns (2:1 ratio?)
^^ but with "ghost": Makes it so you can't do anything except move. Things can move on top of you while active and you can go through walls, but you can't end the effect in a wall. (2-4 turns)
(rare) lets you do two actions in one turn

I'm going to say 42x42, borders or no borders. The sprite itself should be 5 by 5 pixels, but you can resize it to any size to make it more visible.

In Chest Quest, there are tiers. Each item has a tier called ST, which means Special Tier. ST items contain unique properties, as you said, so I guess it would be encouraged? Yeah, it's definitely encouraged.

In regards to your example, it does seem pretty interesting, but in CQ the most valuable stat is defense since as you progress, enemies have greater attack, and you must make up for it with defense.

for -some reason- these tiers remind me of rotmg

a robe idea: -999 def, +a lot mp
the idea behind this is that you can attack from long range to kill stuff easily, but if you get careless you'll get hit and die because negative def

sounds alright, but wouldn't want an item designed for defense give negative stats

EDIT: nevermind the piercer, is actually OP compared to the incremental whip which is a special item. Will maybe tweak it later
EDIT 2: just realised only special items are supposed have unique properties. Guess I'll have to make some more generic items :/ I basically made upgradable special items

oh yeah, sorry about this, but i forgot to explain what the tiers were all about

so there's only one tier line, which means there's a weapon, let's say a sword, and this sword goes from T0 to T20

ANY OTHER SWORD belongs in the ST set, so er, your ideas are based entirely on tiering, so really sorry i didn't explain enough

but i took your regeneration potion ideas, along with the manathirst, and i definitely will give you credit for that

also pointy chainmail sounds pretty neat with damage reflect, along with the piercer

thanks for being practically the only person suggesting!

Well, worst case scenario is you can take the T20 version of the items and adapt ot to suit better the Special tier.
You said not needing special stuff which is why I tried making upgradable versions of all the equipment, but now this part is cleared out.
About potions, there's an extra one that could work, but I'm not on my conputer to make the complete template:
It's like the 2 other, but it's purple, and it regens both HP and MP. These could have no concentrated variants, as they already regen 2 stat points per turn as is.

Will try to make more consumables.

To all the interested people: You don't need to make images is you don't want or know how to do them. Someone else can do them for you. Don't let the lack of image prevent you from posting ideas

@alphajon, yeah that's what i've been doing so far, i've already implemented spikey armor and manathirst, thanks for the suggestions!
