I feel like you may have broken it even more. The controls feel floaty at best and unresponsive at worst. I shouldn't tap the a key and go 5 blocks to the left.

I think the reason you don't know what everyone's hating on is because there's nothing that everyone is hating on. The only post I would consider really critical is Freckface's post, which got no woots. In contrast, the first post got almost twenty woots. Even if there aren't as many woots as usual, it doesn't show a sign of hatred. It may simply show that more people are indifferent, which is far from hatred.
Regarding your second point, I think people want to voice their criticism about Toop's textures. You sound as if you're saying that to reinforce your first point, which I don't think really makes sense, since Ravatroll didn't show signs of hatred. He referred to the new blocks as "fun" and "awesome" and balanced out his compliments with criticisms. I might agree with you if you thought that Ravatroll's argument didn't make sense, but you've only given the odd implication that everyone is hating on something in the update.
