Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

unoffical q&a thread

behold, an unofficial topic to ask and answer questions

was going to put this in game discussion purely for the sake of EE q&a's, but i decided to increase the range and encompass off-topic questions as well

will change to "official" if mods agree

rules
no rules, except for this:

if you are answering a question, please quote the person in their entirety as such:

It's something to talk about. Notice how in between this and zoey's drama the forums half died.

Re: unoffical q&a thread

Is the U.S. congress terribly polarized because of its two-party nature or would it still be polarized even with a multi-party system? Is a system without parties possible or desirable?

Are polarized parties inevitable?

If Humvee has twelve black albino children and sacrifices three to Gaia, what is the mass of the Sun given that the Northern leopard frog swallows its prey using its eyes?

Normally the answer would be around 1.989 × 10^30 kg, but the sacrifices mean we're looking at gains that could make it reach 1.989 × 10.000000000001^30 kg.

if there are:

-questions directed to a certain person/group
-questions involving multiple answers (i.e. what is a good strategy on baking a cake?)
-questions involving "feelings" (typically "how does it feel to X? what do people think of Y?")
-questions that involve personal events/opinion (i.e. what is the craziest thing you did in your life?)
-"what if?" questions (i.e. what if people started utilizing electricity in the 17th century?)

you're in one of those "google knows everything" mindset, but you're forgetting google is simply a search bar, not Deep Thought

Follow up question

Why do I post questions that show that i already know the answer to the question with in them, when my intention is to post something meta/ironic for amusement?

Because you want to make this thread seem more alive than it otherwise would be, thus increasing traffic to the thread and increasing the likelihood that others will see it and post in it.

...That, and you think it's amusing.

You're telling me the Sun gained about 5.967×10^18 kg from just 3 sacrifices? That's more than the mass of Earth's atmosphere! They're only kids - and Humvee's at that.

this is a very ambiguous question with many answers, so i'll give you the one i think fits best:

think of EE as some sort of hobby

some people collect stamps as a hobby; some people play soccer or paint pictures

some people prefer to collect stamps rather than kick a ball around, and some people prefer to paint landscapes rather than collecting pieces of sticky paper

this is in relation with your question because some people would rather play a different game than EE, similar to my example in the previous sentence

all in all, people lost interest in EE because they simply do not connect with it as much as we do

that's what I told him. And he's all like "nah I knew what I was doing" or something slangly like that. C'mon where's the conservation of mass anyway? How'd you get them kiddos over there? they fly?

Pingohits wrote:

some folks have bigger ties to the more active world, I'd imagine. soccer and picturing, y'know. idk who said it first, but EE is a timewaster. So I suppose the more you play it, the more time you waste... hopefully time isn't valuable to the hardcore players?

Does a 113-year-old count as a teenager? I have looked up the question and have found no answers.

i'm not sure what you're asking here

by definition, a teenager is a person aged 13 to 19 years, nowhere near 113

or did you believe teenagers are simply people who's age ends in the -teens?
